Art is art, or is it not? What is art? How can something be called “art” when it doesn’t look like it?

In today’s world, art is deemed art if someone calls it art. It doesn’t matter its subject, its quality, its character. In modern art, all that matters is that it is called art. And that’s why there’s an increase in art for the sake of art. For this reason, some people are using garbage, like old receipts, to make pieces they call art. The viewer may not agree, but in today’s world, if it’s called art, it’s art.
