Texas Sunrise paints the early morning colors of a January sunrise off the gulf coast in Texas, near the small town of Surf Side Beach. This 3’x4′ oil painting was my first large painting, first commission, first attempt at greenery, and first sunrise over the ocean. It was also my first attempt of adding real sand to create texture in the foreground.
